Size
-
Large sushi decorations are appropriate for a big party space. If you've got plenty of room for wall decor, hang enlarged photos of sushi in black frames on each wall. If the sushi-themed birthday celebration will be small and intimate, a small tray of sushi (real or synthetic) as a decorative centerpiece is ideal.
Types
-
There are several different types of sushi, and the colors can be included in your party decor. For instance, if you love Kappa Ma, or cucumber sushi, you can feature this sushi variety on the table where dinner will be served, accompanied by bright pink flowers to compliment the green hues of the Kappa Ma. If you love veggie rolls, feature candid pictures of the rolls on the walls and tables to display its various colors (i.e. red for tomatoes, yellow for scrambled eggs).

Considerations
-
It's a good idea to use the colors from sushi for additional decor like streamers and balloons. For instance, shades like pink and green can be used for balloons and streamers in your sushi-themed decor to represent sushi ingredients like salmon or wasabi.
