Blue LED lights encouraged growth in plants. Grow lights come in different colors and each color is responsible for a different aspect of plant growth. Different brands have vastly different prices. There are lights with different wavelengths and ratios.

Prices vary, yet generally quality grow lights range from $ 199 to over $400. Aside from comparing the wattages and colors of lights, another consideration is the price. According to Nextag, LED grow lights are available from 14 watts to 90 watts, with prices as low as $37. However, the smaller wattage units may only cover one plant directly.

The power of each LED bulb should be at least 1 watt for effective growth. Typically, a 90 watt LED grow light with a 7:1:1 ratio and 1 watt individual LED bulbs, is sufficient for an indoor garden up to 6 feet across. The LED Grow Light Review, warns that "It is common to find 225 LED grow panels for sale very cheap, around $50 to $100, however, you would totally waste your money." These inexpensive lights generally have bulbs with only 0.06 watts.
