The Reynolds, Georgia Strawberry Festival
Food festivals are traditional in cities all over the nation. They often are scheduled in spring and summer months. Lovers of fresh produce can look forward to the annual Georgia Strawberry Festival in the town of Reynolds.

The fest takes place each year during late April in Reynolds, a small town in Taylor County just over 30 miles from Macon. Each year, the Georgia Strawberry Growers Association puts the festival together.

Entry and parking are free for everyone. Various kinds of foods and drinks are sold, as well as a strawberry-themed cookbook. Proceeds of these sales benefit the Reynolds fire and police departments, and also town maintenance and other programs, according to Georgia Magazine.

The website Muscogee Moms notes several different events that take place at the festival. Most famously, the festival features a strawberry cook-off and a lawnmower race. Past events at the festival have include a 5K run, farmers' market and craft tables.
