Unit deployment managers perform complex duties, while managing and tracking the unit's readiness. People in this position remain in close contact with the unit's commander.

  1. Tasks

    • Deployment planning and execution are some of the primary duties of a unit deployment manager. The unit's cargo is the unit deployment manager's responsibility. The unit is educated on expected roles and the readiness of each unit member is carefully monitored.

    Training

    • Unit deployment managers see to it that all unit members have obtained the appropriate skills and training before deploying. Schedules are maintained to keep track of the courses. Weapons and care courses are often scheduled prior to deadlines.

    Environment

    • It is usual for unit deployment managers to work in office environments to perform tasks effectively. The office has the tools and office supplies that deployment managers need. It is also important for the UDM to have access to the unit's files.
