What Is the Divine Revelation?
Many different religions across human history have examples of divine revelation. Divine revelation is the communication of a truth or command to a human by a divine entity, most often identified as God.

Judiasim

In Judaism, there are several examples of God revealing himself to prophets. Perhaps the most widely known example is of God appointing Moses as a prophet and instructing him to lead the Israelites out of bondage. God also revealed "The Ten Commandments" to Moses.
Islam

The major example of divine revelation in Islam is of God to Muhammad. It is said that in 610 A.D. God delivered a message to Muhammad and instructed him to share that message with the world. The recitations that Muhammad said he received from God would then develop into the Qur'an.

Christianity

In Christianity, there are many examples of divine revelation through the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus, as the son of God, is a divine being and his teachings to his disciples are divine revelations.
