In a small apartment or RV with no other washer you will need the spin function. However, if your intention is to purchase a small second washer for your home, spinning can be done in your main machine.

Portable Washer Load Capacity

Compare each portable washing machine's load capacity. If you are buying a portable as a small second washer, this may not be as important a consideration as it is for an apartment dweller or RV vacationer who needs to be able to quickly wash as much laundry as possible.
