EEOC Compliance Training

EEOC Compliance Training thumbnail
EEOC Compliance Training can be beneficial for employers.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) compliance training can be offered by universities or government agencies. The main objective of the training raises awareness of the implications of federal violations regarding equal employment, and explains how to report violations.

  1. Training Entities

    • The Equal Employment Advisory Council (EEAC) offers EEO compliance training. The council conducts a myriad of classes that can teach you how to develop effective affirmative action programs, and classes on understanding the relevant provisions of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits employment discrimination.

    Available Courses

    • Beneficial classes for an employer teach you how to avoid adverse actions when hiring and maintaining a staff. Also, classes such as "Responding to Charges of Employment Discrimination" explains the proper steps to take when an employee alleges employment discrimination.

    Cost

    • Training course costs vary depending on the type of course, and the agency offering it. For example, the "Responding to Charges of Employment Discrimination" course offered by the EEAC costs $700 for members of the council, and $1,175 for non-members, as of September, 2010. However, the cost incurred by losing an employment discrimination case could cost much more, so the training courses provide benefits.
