BLS experts say the mean annual salary for network and computer systems administrators was $70,930 and the mean hourly wage was $34.10 in 2009.

Database Administrators

Database administrators oversee the operation of computer databases and they are some of the highest paid workers in the field. The mean annual wage for database administrators was $74,290 according to BLS records. The mean hourly wage for these workers was $35.72.
