The National Harvest Festival is held each year near Ardrendtsville, Pennsylvania on the first two weekends in the month of October. The National Harvest Festival has a wide variety of activities such as Native American Dancing demonstrations and of course, all the apples you can eat.

The National Apple Harvest Festival was founded in the early 1960s by the Adams County Fruitgrowers Association. The very first Apple Harvest Festival was held on Sunday, October 14, 1961 and featured attractions such as antique car displays, pony rides, candy apples and apple products for sale. In 1975 the festival was expanded to two weekends each year, due to its swiftly growing popularity with locals and visitors alike.

The National Apple Harvest Festival offers many exciting attractions such as a petty zoo, hay rides, antique farm equipment and tractor square dancing. Over 300 craft vendors display and market their wares and of course, there is an annual pie eating contest. Children can enjoy puppet shows, bob for apples, and explore the Kid Country Barn. Apple products such as apple jellies, apple syrup and apple art are available for purchase, as well.

According to Apple Harvest.com, the National Apple Harvest Festival is held during rain or shine. Admission prices include parking and access to the shuttle service. The price of admission also includes all of the attractions, activities and exhibitions at the festival.
