Pennsylvania Time Share License Information

Timeshare salespeople who wish to work in Pennsylvania must be licensed according to rules outlined in the commonwealth's Real Estate Act. The Act specifies education and application requirements and other Pennsylvania timeshare license information. The license remains valid for two years.

  1. Education

    • Pennsylvania requires that timeshare-license applicants complete 30 hours of classroom instruction. The instruction curriculum includes contract law, sales practices and procedures, ethics and timesharing theory. The instruction may be taken online or in person at any PA Real Estate Commission-approved school.

    Training

    • Applicants must train on-site at a timeshare sales facility for at least 30 days. The training is supervised by a broker. Most timeshare salespeople train at the facility where they'll work once they've received their licenses.

    Application

    • First-time applicants must submit a Time-Share Salesperson Initial Standard License Application. The application must by signed by the applicant and by the broker for whom the applicant will work. A classroom-instruction transcript, a criminal background report and the license fee must accompany the application. The initial license fee varies by year.
