Windows Mobile 6.1 Basics

Function

Windows Mobile 6.1 is a platform used to control a mobile device. The system is designed to support mobile media formats and wireless connectivity.

Features

Windows Mobile 6.1's features include Office Mobile, a suite of Microsoft Office applications, the Internet Explorer mobile browser, Internet connection sharing and Outlook Mobile. The system also includes automatic links to telephone numbers in Tasks and Appointments applications and a mobile version of the Microsoft OneNote program, a software package for free-form information gathering.

Limitations

Windows Mobile 6.1 does not recognize multi-touch screens, which have the ability to register three or more simultaneous touch input positions. It also does not allow users to file extensions if the file is of an unknown type or allow users to view file properties from File Explorer.
