What Is Crawler Toolbar?

Crawler Toolbar is an extension, or browser helper, for Internet browsers such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. It is often bundled with other software applications but can be downloaded from the Internet on its own.

Functions

According to its website, Crawler Toolbar can speed up Internet browsing and downloading, prevent viruses and other malware (malicious software) and provide access to many free services, including free desktop wallpapers and screen savers.

Advertising

Crawler Toolbar itself does not contain advertising, although search results obtained through it may contain sponsored links. Crawler Toolbar 5.1 is Whitelist Certified by TRUSTe--a not-for-profit organization sponsored by several corporations--as safe, secure software. The software is not malicious in any way and is straightforward to uninstall via an uninstall wizard.

Cost

Crawler Toolbar is freeware. It is available free of charge to anyone who agrees to the "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy" when downloading the software.
