Irish Party Food

Throwing an Irish party, whether it is for St. Patrick’s Day or just for fun, is an exciting adventure into a new culinary world. Irish foods are as unique as the Irish culture, so to keep the party authentic, integrate traditional Irish party foods. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Irish Soda Bread

    • Irish soda bread is a great party food because people can eat it with their hands and no serving utensils are required. To make Irish soda bread from scratch, only four ingredients are required: flour, bread soda, salt and buttermilk.

    Cabbage and Bacon

    • According to Dochara.com, Irish bacon and cabbage is a traditional Irish dinner food. Corned beef can replace the bacon in this dish, and, if good cabbage is hard to find, kale works as a suitable substitute. This special Irish meal is perfect for a sit-down dinner party.

    Irish Cream

    • Many people enjoy an after dinner drink, and serving Irish cream will be a hit amongst partygoers. Irish cream involves the combination of heavy or whipping cream, Irish whiskey, vanilla extract, unsweetened dark chocolate and condensed milk. These ingredients are heated together (not boiled) until thickening occurs. Once it is cooled, the liquid is blended and is ready to drink.
