Goldfish Bathroom Decorations

Goldfish decorations can make the bathroom bright and festive.

If you love goldfish and want to use their image as decoration, the bathroom is a good place to display them. A number of furniture and accent choices feature goldfish--whether you're going for an understated or eye-catching look.

Size

Think about the size of your bathroom, and select goldfish decorations that will not be too overwhelming in the space. For instance, small goldfish-shaped wall decorations can be placed right above the toilet in a small bathroom; an enlarged picture of a goldfish in a clear glass bowl will look great on the main wall of a larger bathroom.

Function

Select goldfish decorations that are also functional. Purchase a shower curtain with small goldfish printed on it for a lively, upbeat bathroom space. Select a shower curtain with an enlarged print of a goldfish that isn't gold, such as the black moor, if you want to use black and white accents in the bathroom. Buy soap dispensers and toilet seat covers in the design of your choice so that functional items in your bathroom will be consistent with your decor theme.

Types

Remember, there are several different types of goldfish, which means you can find sophisticated and animated decor accents for your bathroom. If you're decorating a child's bathroom, shower curtains, rugs and toilet seat covers, the ranchu--a large, puffy goldfish--may be best, as it will be visually appealing to the child. For an adult bathroom, these items can be adorned with large or small images of the pompom goldfish, which has a long, flowing tail and elegant fins.
