Height

Coffee plants generally grow to a maximum height of 10 feet. However, the plant can be pruned to a lower height to allow for easier harvesting of the coffee beans.
Outdoor Planting

To ensure maximum health and productivity, coffee plants require a consistent temperature of 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit, with alternating periods of heavy rainfall and sunshine. The soil should drain moisture adequately.

Indoor Planting

When growing coffee plants in a pot, use fast-draining potting soil. Place the pot in an area of filtered sunlight or under artificial plant lights. Water the coffee plant two times per week, keeping the soil consistently moist.
Harvesting

Two coffee beans are located inside each coffee berry, surrounded by a sweet pulp. The berries of a coffee plant do not all ripen at the same time. Coffee berries turn red when they are ready for harvesting.
