It is important to get to the bus stop on time or a few minutes early. Rushing to catch a bus at the last minute can result in accidents caused by dashing across the street without looking carefully.

    Stay Seated on the Bus

    • Staying seated is crucial when on the bus. Sudden stops can result in injuries to children who are standing.

    Stay in the Driver's View

    • Always cross the street in front of the bus. That enables the driver to see the child at all times. The driver's view is extremely limited behind the bus, making it unsafe for children to be there.

    Cross Safely

    • Children should stand at the appointed spot and wait for the driver's signal before crossing. This allows the driver to look for any dangers before allowing the children to cross the street.
