Glass Crusher Recycling
Limestone, soda ash and sand are mined to produce glass. But like many natural resources, they are being used in excess to support human lifestyles, leaving glass to end up in the environment as waste. The market to recycle glass for alternative mulches and aggregates is fairly new. In order to keep up with industrial demand, industrial size glass recycling crushers are used.

Importance
-
Glass crushers are important and needed for the glass recycling industry. Like sand and gravel, crushed glass is used as a back-fill for an excavated area. Crushed glass is used in concrete mixes and melted down into new glass. By using crushed glass to replace mined aggregates, glass does not end up in landfills or dumped elsewhere.
Heavy Equipment
-
Industrial glass crushers evolved from rock crushers and other mineral processing machines. Hammer mills, rotating disk and breaker bars, rotating drums and vertical shaft are all glass crusher designs. Because of the high abrasiveness of glass, special alloys are applied to the machines to minimize wear and tear.

Future
-
Glass crushers will play an important role in the future as glass recycling is increases. If glass can be recovered and substituted for aggregates, it will have the same commercial value as a quarried limestone.
