    • Faberge, Inc. is a sub-company of the Rayette-Faberge Inc. cosmetics company. The introduction of a number of sub-companies came about after the House of Faberge jewelry firm sold their name to Rayette Inc. in 1964. In addition to Happy Hair, Faberge Inc. produced Brut cologne and Babe perfume.

    • On August 22, 1984, Faberge, Inc. registered a U.S. trademark for the product Happy Hair. The trademark was officially registered on May 28, 1985. As of February 10, 1992, the trademark has been officially canceled.

    Success and Acquisition

    • Faberge Inc. became a global leader in the cosmetics industry in the second half of the 1980s. After bringing the Elizabeth Arden line of cosmetics under its brand in 1987, the company reported sales of over $800 million the following year. Faberge Inc. and the numerous brands under its name were purchased by consumer product powerhouse Unilever Group in February 1989.
