Use primary-colored streamers, tablecloths, tableware and balloons to decorate. Make a poster that reads, "This party is brought to you by the number 1 and the letter __." Fill the blank with the first initial of the baby's name. Decorate with orange paper goldfish for Elmo's pet, "Dorothy."

Cutouts, posters and copies of Elmo coloring pages brighten the walls of the party room. Cut the Elmo body, head and facial features separately from poster board or foam for a wall hanging.
