Peter Pan Party Decorations
One of the best-beloved children's stories of all time, "Peter Pan" was a book by James Barrie before it was turned into a movie. Today, the characters of the boy who refused to grow up, the Darling children he takes on a great adventure and the many characters they meet along the way are still popular thanks to the Disney movie. For a Peter Pan birthday party, use these characters as an inspiration for your decorations. Does this Spark an idea?

Tinkerbell Party Lights
-
Turn a regular party into Never-Never Land through lighting. By taking strings of Christmas lights (especially gold or silver lights, though colored lights can work as well) and hanging them from your ceiling, you can evoke the spirit of Tinkerbell.
Captain Hook's Plank
-
A simple board or piece of cardboard takes on a whole new meaning when it becomes a plank. Have it extend from a table or wall that you've decorated to look like a boat, with a blue and green crepe-paper ocean below.

Fairy Dust
-
Every child knows that you need fairy dust to fly. Use your own fairy dust (regular glitter you find at any corner store or craft store will work) to spread fairy dust around the tables and centerpieces of your party.
The Hook
-
Of course, Captain Hook's hook is one of the defining features of the story. As such, it makes a great image for decorating. You can find hooks at most costume shops or online; hang them from Tinkerbell's lights, use them as centerpieces, or even give them to the children (if they are plastic and not sharp, which they shouldn't be) to add to their own costumes.
