Pink Baby Shower Decorations

Dozens upon dozens of pink, helium-filled balloons transform a party.

It's hard to avoid pink at a shower if the baby's gender is known to be a girl. Whether used in variations or paired with a neutral such as chocolate brown, deep violet, classic white or sea green, pink is the traditional color for baby girls.

Pink Clothesline

Make a "pink" clothesline by stringing up taut pink ribbon in a wide doorway, or across a fireplace or bay window. Use pink clothespins to hold a variety of pink baby clothes as well as clothes in an accent color, like orange or red. It's a subtle nod to the days of laundry ahead of the mom-to-be and doubles as a gift to her.

Pink Sweet Table

A pink sweet table filled with exclusively pink desserts is both excessive and tasty. Use an accent color for plates and napkins, and plain glass serving dishes. Fill round bowls with pink candies and oversized martini glasses with pink jelly beans. Stack graduated cake plates and fill them with pink cupcakes. Stick enormous pink lollipops in flowerpots.

Pink Balloons

A standard decoration, pink balloons become extravagant when you increase the quantity. Tie dozens upon dozens upon dozens more of bouquets of pink balloons throughout the party space. Make them as dense around the perimeter of the room as possible, like a pink cloud or pink forest. For visual depth, use pale pink, dusty rose and deep pink balloons.
