Christian Travel in Israel
Traveling to Israel can be a very rewarding experience as a Christian because of the important historical landmarks. If you are unfamiliar with the territory, it might be wise to hire a guide or to sign up for a Christian trip with others. If enough people are interested, entire groups may book reservations for tours together.

North Israel

Located in northern Israel are many historical sites such as Bethsaida or "The House of The Fisherman." It is thought that Jesus was an active preacher here and that his followers, Peter, Phillip, and Andrew, resided here as well. The site is largely overrun by excavations as of 2010, but is still an important piece of history.
You may also wish to visit the Jordan River and become baptized in it as many visitors are.
Central Israel/Bethlehem

Many who travel to Israel on a Christian tour wish to explore Beit Sahur. This is the site of the nativity story and is now a small town near both Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Other religious sites in this region include Emmaus, Jericho, and Ramleh, which is thought to be the location of Jesus' burial following his resurrection, among many other noteworthy historical markers.

A trip to Israel wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Dead Sea. There are many hotels situated on the shore for convenience. Close by, check out multiple locations where ancient scrolls were discovered such as Qumran and Nahal Hever. King Herod's palace is also close by, situated at the top of a mountain peak near Masada.
