How Do I Find Out If I Have an Outstanding Warrant in Washington State?

Accessing outstanding warrants for the state of Washington can be difficult, but if you can spend a little money there are plenty of resources to find that information. That's just one way to collect information about criminal records in a specific state or nationwide.

  1. Through the Courts

    • Finding out where your possible infraction occurred in the court system that led to a warrant can be found at the Washington Courts official website. You can find out in which court your case was to be heard, but it is suggested to contact the court immediately to find out if a warrant has been issued. This is the cheapest and most direct way to find out if a warrant has been issued.

    Through the State

    • The Washington Warrants Directory may aid in finding the status of a warrant, although not all counties include just warrants. Some counties will only show "Most Wanted Warrants." The ones that do allow access to warrants aren't very adept at searching by name, however.

    Through A Website

    • Many websites offer help in uncovering warrants, but almost all of them are for a fee. Some may say they are for free, but once they do the search they want a nominal fee for giving out the information. The median price is around $35, but these include multiple searches or a period of time that any warrant or criminal background check can be looked up.
