Plastic, vinyl and metal blinds wash up well when placed in a bath solution and rinsed off. Wooden blinds should be cleaned with furniture polish. Clean fabric blinds with a vacuum cleaner.

Take down plastic, vinyl or metal blinds. Fill a large with water, 2 tbsp. of white vinegar and 2 tbsp. of liquid dish soap. Soak blinds, gently scrub off any stains and rinse clean. For wooden blinds, wear a sock over a rubber glove, spray furniture polish on the glove and wipe clean. Vacuum dust from fabric blinds using a crevice or brush tool if necessary.
