Why Nails Bubble After Polishing Them
Many women opt to paint their nails themselves, at home, instead of visiting a salon or manicurist. When doing your own nails, however, a few problems can arise, such as bubbles forming in the nail polish. Fortunately, as Woman Junction notes, there are simple fixes for many nail-related issues, including bubbles. Does this Spark an idea?

Cleanliness
-
According to Image ProvoCateur, one of the first steps to preventing bubbles is to clean your nails before applying polish, especially if you have filed or buffed them. Additionally, make sure to clean the applicator brush of your polish. Simply run some acetone or nail polish remover over the brush on a regular basis, keeping the brush free of debris that can trap air bubbles.
Prior to Application
-
Image ProvoCateur notes that when you choose nail polish, opt for a polish that is newer, as older polishes are more likely to bubble upon application. The Beauty Brains also suggests opting for more expensive nail polish, which it claims is worth the price. Cheaper polishes tend to be too thick, and they bubble and peel. Also, never shake your polish; instead, roll it back and forth between the palms of your hands. Shaking polish creates bubbles.

Application
-
When you apply the polish, Image ProvoCateur explains that you should avoid thick coats, which can create air pockets. The Beauty Brains asserts that using fewer, thinner coats is preferable to using more, thicker coats. Additionally, avoid excess brush strokes, which increase the likelihood that bubbles will form. These steps should prevent bubble formation in polish.
