Visual Damage

First take a look at your computer. Any visual evidence of physical damage or missing parts is your first clue to determining why your computer isn't turning on. Non-Visual Damage

If there's nothing visually wrong with the computer, that means something is wrong internally. If adding a fresh battery or AC power source or resetting the laptop doesn't work, you'll need the services of a professional computer repair service.

When calling your laptop maker's support service, have as much information as possible. Write down any error messages. Describe exactly what happens when trying to start your laptop. This helps the troubleshooting process. If your laptop is out of warranty, search online for similar problems and solutions.
