Lizard Birthday Party Decorations

Lizards are a fun theme for a child's birthday party.

If you are planning a birthday party for someone who is crazy about lizards and other reptiles, a lizard theme is a fun idea. Send out lizard-shaped invitations and serve cupcakes topped with lizards. Lizard party decorations will complete the theme.

Theme

Lizard birthday party decorations can be used with a number of different party themes. Use only lizard decorations for a lizard or gecko party or mix them in with other decorations for a jungle, safari or reptile theme.

Handmade Decorations

You can easily make your own party decorations. Cut lizard shapes out of white paper, decorate them and then hang them around the room. String together lizard die cut shapes and hang them for a fun lizard garland.

Games

Some of your decorations can be used for party games too. Hang up a large picture of a lizard and use it to play "Pin the Tongue on the Lizard." Cut tongue shapes out of pink paper and let the children try to place the tongue in the correct spot on the lizard. For older children, hang up pictures of different types of lizards on one wall. Put a number under each picture and give the kids a list of lizard types to match with the correct picture.

Buying Decorations

You can find other lizard decorations, like pinatas, posters and balloons, at party supply stores. Teacher supply stores are another place to find things that can be used to decorate for a lizard birthday party.
