GED Test Information for New Hampshire
The GED test measures competency in high-school subjects. A passing score on the test provides test-takers with their high-school-equivalency diploma. The New Hampshire Bureau of Adult Education is the administering body for the GED test in the state of New Hampshire.

Testing Requirements

Individuals looking to take the GED for a New Hampshire high-school equivalency must be residents of the state and be 18 years of age. Special exceptions can be made for 16- and 17-year-olds. A New Hampshire--issued photo ID and the test fee are required when you arrive for testing.

There are 18 locations in New Hampshire that offer GED exams. Testing centers set their own schedules and some require that test-takers complete practice tests before completing the exam. Preregistration is generally required for taking the test. Registration forms can be obtained from testing centers. All GED tests are administered in person; there is no online testing.

Cost

For all five sections of the exam, the cost is $65 and includes a certificate for passing scores. If a re-test is required, the cost is $15 per section. Copies of the official New Hampshire GED transcript are available for $5. The official transcript lists your overall score and section scores on the exam, and serves as proof that you have your high-school equivalency.
Passing the Test in New Hampshire

The GED is made up of five sections: language arts reading, language arts writing, math, science and social studies. New Hampshire requires a minimum total score of 2,250 on the exam for a passing grade, with no section score below 410 and an average score per section of 450 or higher. You may study on your own for the test or participate in one of the many fee-based preparatory programs.
