    • According to the BLS statistics in 2009 the mean annual salary for obstetricians and gynecologists was $204,470 and the mean hourly wage for these workers was $98.31. Only 10 percent of obstetricians and gynecologists made less than $99,520 in 2009.

    • BLS figures indicate that between 2008 and 2009 obstetrician and gynecologist salaries increased 1.4 percent overall. The average increase for all occupations during this time period was only one-tenth of a percent.
