CAD Software Training
Computer-aided design (CAD) programs are often expensive and complex. Once you have made the investment in the software, training can help you get the best out of the program. Training is available from a variety of sources and in many ways.
-
Face-to-Face Training
-
Most software vendors also provide training for users. This can range from beginning to more advanced courses. Some vendors will offer certification and validation of these courses as part of Professional Development programs. Many colleges also offer formal qualifications in CAD on a part-time or night class basis.
Online Training
-
There are many online sources of tutorials, tips and complete courses. Some of these have extensive support and monitoring, however most are provided as a simple download. Few online providers offer formal certification of their courses. User forums are also a useful source of information on the software and training opportunities

Books for Training
-
Most CAD programs are also supported by a range of printed manuals or coursework. Again, no certification is provided, but many of the books contain supporting CDs with files and sample drawings. These titles are updated in line with the software's release cycle.
