Safety First
-
Cover your face with a respirator, complete with acid-grade filter. Wear long sleeves and long pants and cover your hands and arms with rubber gloves. Open all the windows in the room first to provide more ventilation for the space.
Mixing
-
You must mix the muratic acid with water before using. Fill a plastic bucket with 10 parts water and then slowly add in 1 part muratic acid. Use a plastic bucket because other types of materials can cause a chemical reaction when the acid is added.
