Codes of conduct for athletics ensure that athletes develop into well-grounded individuals.

At every level of athletics--from pee wee through professional--athletes are expected to adhere to a standard of behavior known as a code of conduct. A code of conduct outlines standards for ethics and sportsmanship that athletes are expected to maintain.

    • Schools, coaches and athletic associations all may have their own codes of conduct that their athletes are required to uphold.
