Security issues
-
In 2009, the makers of Spotify reported the discovery of a security flaw that could expose account information, such as passwords and email addresses, of all members registered prior to December 2008. Symantec's Norton Antivirus classified Spotify as a Trojan horse and has disabled Spotify on millions of computers. A Trojan horse, also called a Trojan, is a kind of malware (malicious software) that appears to perform a useful function, but instead facilitates unauthorized access of the user's computer system and files.
