Natural Cure to Help Dogs With Dry Skin

Various natural remedies are available to help your dog get rid of dry and itchy skin. A dog suffering from dry skin would possibly be scratching, chewing or biting its skin. Though steroids, ointments and other treatments are available to cure dry skin problems in dogs, natural remedies are much safer.

Oats

Oats cooked in water is a soothing remedy for itchy dog skin. Apply the paste after it has cooled and place a towel over the area. Try and keep the pet busy so that it does not remove the paste. Use a sponge and water to remove the oat paste. Apply this paste every day.

Green Tea

Green tea reduces itching and redness on dog's skin. Boil the tea in a cup of water and allow it to cool down. Pour the tea onto the dog's skin.

Oils

Oils like rosemary, olive, peppermint and eucalyptus give relief to dog's itchy skin. Add a few drops to water and empty the contents in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture on the dog's skin twice a day.
