Corporate Identity Structure

A corporate identity structure is the aesthetic expression of a corporation. It usually includes branding or use of a trademark and is used to identify and set the corporation apart from other companies.

  1. Questions

    • A corporate identity structure answers questions about the company, such as to who the company's target demographic is and the direction that the company is going.

    Distinctions

    • Corporations use different distinctions to make their business unique and easy to remember to consumers. They may use trademarks, color schemes and phrases to accomplish this. Corporations also use things such as uniforms, stationery and logos for this purpose. Once a corporation's identity is established, it rarely changes.

    Marketing

    • A corporate identity structure is carefully planned out by management. Getting consumers to remember the logo, colors or trademark causes consumers to remember the corporation, which in turn could cause an increase in sales. Marketing a corporation includes all parts of the corporation's identity in advertising and public relations.
