PPT to Flash Conversion
Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to create dynamic presentations, but it is not ideal for displaying on a web page. Instead, consider converting it to Adobe Flash format.
-
Considerations
-
PowerPoint and Flash files are similar in concept. They both proceed from frame to frame presenting information to the viewer. You may set both types of files to proceed automatically.
Solutions
-
Windows Movie Maker, a free download for Windows operating system users, allows you to save PowerPoint files as SWF files (the Flash format). With this method you must save each slide as a PNG image first (click "File" then "Save as" to access this option). Open Office Impress, another free program available online, allows you to load PPT files directly and then convert them to Flash format.

Benefits
-
One key benefit of having a Flash file instead of a PPT file (besides the fact that it is web-ready) is that in most cases any links you add to the file are clickable while the presentation is running. Viewers may click the links to access information referenced in the presentation.
