  1. The Royal Palace in Madrid

    • The Royal Palace located in the capital city of Madrid was built in the mid-1700s and was the home to Spanish emperors. In addition to 252 bedrooms and a royal chapel, the palace has a ballroom and several large meeting rooms. Notable sights include a collection of 13th century weapons and the world's only complete set of Stradivarius instruments, the string quintet--two violins, two cellos and a viola--which are displayed in the palace's music room.

The Running of the Bulls in Pamplona City

    • Located in northeastern Spain in Navarre Province, the city of Pamplona is most noted for its San Fermin fiesta each July. The running of the bulls is perhaps what makes the city most notable, as thousands gather in the streets to take part in the annual run in celebration of their heritage.

    The Canary Islands

    • The Canary Islands off the coast of Spain feature varied landscapes with mountains, desert, beaches and tropical forests. Visitors can relax on the sandy beaches while taking in the view of the islands' snow capped mountains.
