How to Compare Face Masks
Finding the right face mask requires determining your skin type--oily, dry or sensitive. Once you find your skin type, you can choose from several types of masks to suit your needs. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Oily Skin
-
Clay masks are formulated for oily skin. The clay acts as a drying agent and absorbs the excess oil from the skin. Look for masks labeled "clarifying," "purifying" or "deep cleansing."
Dry Skin
-
Moisturizing masks are ideal for dry skin because they are more emollient than masks made for oily skin. Masks that are labeled "moisturizing" or "hydrating" should be used on dry skin.
-
Sensitive Skin
-
Masks for sensitive skin come in various forms. These include liquid, gel or peel-off formulas. Look for masks labeled "brightening," "restoring," "conditioning" or "soothing."
