While In School

During beauty school you will gain knowledge on a variety of subjects from hair styling to nail care. Additionally, you will learn all the necessary techniques to become a successful beautician. Once you have a solid grasp on the basics, you will receive a spot in the student saloon, where you will practice what you have learned.

After School

Once you have passed your state's cosmetology licensing exam, you will receive your cosmetology license. With this license you are legally equipped to become a hair stylist in your state.
