I do not like to use the word pay for Pastors because I don't think anyone should get "Paid" for what God has called them to do because he will reward them. I understand that Pastors have to meet their financial obligations the same as others. The word of God tells us that we are suppose to take care of the Pastors and the amount should be reasonable. God's Word also warns us of false Prophets. Pastors are to be available to take care of their congregation but with most of them it is "Out of Sight Out of Mind".

Any evangelical pastor should make no more than the middle-class constituents of his congregation. Besides that, one must earn and learn the respect of hsi flock by living below his means. That is only using wisdom and frugalilty with God's money to begin with...

Did Jesus, or his 1st Century followers accept money for the work they did? No, because they understood the scriptures. People who seek a payday for doing God's work today are not doing God's work, period!
