Online Vendors
-
Some providers online sell northern pike fillets. Walleye Direct is one such market, offering a variety of different "wild caught" fish. The typical package of northern pike is 11 pounds frozen and will run you about $80 plus shipping as of August 2010. The company offers two-day shipping, so it is a great option if you're in a rush to get the fillets on the grill.
Buy From the Fishermen
-
The only other way to buy northern pike is to be in an area where they are caught plentifully. Their populations are spread out over much of the United States. There may be fish markets in these areas that buy the pike from local fishermen and then pass them on to the consumer. Other fishermen have licenses to sell the fish themselves.

Taxidermy and Wall Mounts
-
If you're not looking for edible northern pike and instead for a nice wall decoration, there are taxidermists who sell these fish. One possibility is the Artistic Wildlife Gallery. Another source is Alltackle.com. Prices for wall mounts depend on the length of the fish itself. Where a 25-inch mount will be around $350, a 40-inch one could be over $500, as of August 2010.
