Vision Training in Sports
Sports vision training is an innovative technique to improve speed and agility through visual training. Athletes learn to process visual information faster and more precisely, and can make quicker decisions. This training speeds up their physical reactions while under pressure in a competitive game.

Theory
-
Sports vision training is based on the theory of physical, visual and mental integration. Motor skills and reaction times are directly related to perceptual skills. The better an athlete can learn to see, the quicker he can react and anticipate the moves of opponents. Visual training is seen as speed exercise for the mind and eyes.
Focusing
-
Precisely focusing the eyes is a key concept in vision training. Dynamic visual acuity and eye-tracking ability allow the player to focus on and follow fast-moving balls and opposing players. Athletes learn to focus on objects that are nearby and far away, with quickness and accuracy.

Visual Awareness
-
Visual depth-perception awareness training involves the ability to clearly see the playing field or court in three dimensions, and accurately judge the distance and velocity of rapidly moving objects or people. Peripheral-awareness training develops the athlete's skill to follow objects out of the corner of her eye while focused on a fixed point.
