A Microsoft Certification can greatly improve your career prospects, as it is one of the most recognized certifications you can get in the world. It has become an industry standard in the field of information technology. Each Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) receives a number which serves as a unique identification to prove your certification and receive membership discounts. If you've misplaced or lost your MCP ID, one place you can find it is on your Microsoft transcript, which you can access online.

Log on to the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) member site. See Resources for a link.

Point the cursor to the left-hand column and scroll over "View My."

Click on "Transcript" when it appears. You can either write down, memorize or print out another copy of the certification, which can be used to confirm your status. You can also order a printed copy of the certificate from the MCP Member site.
