Specifications of Xerox Documate Scanner 515

The Xerox DocuMate 515 is a workgroup scanner capable of scanning an average of 2,500 pages per day. The scanner comes equipped with an automatic document feeder that allows users to automatically scan a stack of up to 50 single-sided pages at one time.

  1. Scanning Speed

    • According to the product description available on the Xerox website, the DocuMate 515 will scan 15 single-sided pages per minute in black and white at 200 dpi or 15 color pages per minute at 150 dpi.

    Scanning Capabilities

    • The scanner's maximum resolution is 600 dpi in 24-bit color or 8-bit grayscale. The ADF can process paper sizes between a minimum 4.5 inches by 5.5 inches and a maximum of 8.5 inches by 14 inches. Irregularly shaped documents or documents that fall outside the range for the ADF can be placed directly on the scanner glass and scanned manually.

    Included Software

    • The included software disk contains an electronic user's guide, scanner drivers, Nuance PaperPort, Nuance OmniPage Pro, and Visioneer OneTouch, which can be used to send scanned documents to an email address, PDF format, a folder on a local or network drive or to Microsoft Word for further editing.

    Minimum System Requirements

    • System requirements include connection to a computer equipped with at least a Pentium IV processor with 512 MB of RAM and 350 MB of free hard disk space. Compatible operating systems include Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
