Norwegian Formula skin care is manufactured by Neutrogena. These products are enriched with glycerin. Glycerin is a product that holds moisture against the skin and prevents dryness. Creams and lotions that contain glycerin can help to improve problem areas such as elbows, knees and heels.

History

According to Neutrogena, Norwegian fishermen reported having soft hands despite harsh fishing conditions in the sea. Neutrogena discovered that oils in the fish contained concentrated moisturizing properties, so the company developed a synthetic version of the oil that is a major component in the Norwegian Formula products.

Product Range

Available within the Norwegian Formula line are day and night creams; cleansing wipes and wash; body lotion and balm for dry and sensitive skin; and repair lotion and cream. Norwegian Formula also has products specifically for lips, hands and feet.

Considerations

Two products--Norwegian Formula Deep Moisture Body Lotion for Dry & Sensitive Skin and Deep Moisture Comfort Balm--are not recommended for children under the age of three years old.
