How to Buy a Boxspring
A quality mattress and box spring set can mean the difference between a sleepless night and waking up refreshed in the morning. There are a few things to consider when choosing a mattress. Does this Spark an idea?

Considerations
-
The Better Sleep Council recommends that you replace the box spring whenever you replace your mattress. The mattress and box spring are meant to work together, and placing a new mattress on an old box spring will reduce the life of a new mattress and could provide inadequate support.
Features
-
When shopping for a box spring, there are a few extra features that can be beneficial. Split box springs are a good choice for those who must move box springs through narrow hallways. They come standard on most king-size beds and are an option for queen-sized beds.
-
Height
-
The height of a box spring can also be an issue. Mattress sets often come with a choice of a standard 9-inch box spring or a lower-profile one. The size of the box spring does not affect comfort substantially. The best size depends on how tall the mattress is and how easily the sleeper can get out of bed.
