Comparing Dish Network Receivers

Dish Network's satellite receivers are grouped by the type of programming they support, by the features of the receiver and by the number of tuners the receiver has. Your personal TV viewing needs will determine which model is best for you.

  1. Duo DVR Receivers

    • The Duo DVR, both High Definition and Standard Definition, allow two different programs to be viewed simultaneously on one or two TVs. The DVR service ($6 extra per month as of August 2010) allows each tuner to record, pause and rewind live TV. The HD models support one primary HD TV and one SD TV. HD models: 722, 722k and 622, SD models: 522 and 625. Each additional receiver from this family costs $17 per month.

    Duo Receivers

    • The duo receiver has the same capabilities of the Duo DVR receiver excluding the ability to record, pause and rewind live TV. HD models: 222 and 222k; SD Model: 322. Each additional receiver from this family costs $14 per month.

    Solo DVR Receivers

    • Receivers from this family have the ability to record, rewind and pause live TV, but are only capable of running one television. HD Model: 612. SD models: 512 and 510. Each additional receiver from this model family costs $10 per month.

    Solo Receivers

    • These are the basic receivers offered by Dish that will allow you to view live TV from one television. HD models: 211 and 211k. SD models: 301 and 311. Each additional receiver in this family costs $7 per month.
