How to Compare the Logos Bible
The Logos Bible is a computer software Bible study system created in 1992. Logos is the largest Bible study software company, and is more of a library system than just a Bible study software program.
-
Features
-
There are many Bible software programs on the market. Logos is different from most in that it integrates the books more effectively and allows more options for study. Logos offers complex means of studying the original biblical languages as well as integrating hundreds of books, allowing you to look up information in all those books at the same time.
Audience
-
Anyone can use Logos, but it is more for scholars, pastors and serious Bible students than for the person only casually interested in Bible study.
-
Considerations
-
Consider what you need in your Bible study. If you must look up verses quickly, but do not need detailed analysis and original language capabilities, a less expensive and less complex system might be just as good.
Potential
-
Logos software is essentially a library at your fingertips. The software comes in different levels, depending on the number of books you need and how much you want to spend. Smaller programs have hundreds of books, while large programs have thousands.
Other Bible study software programs usually have less than 100 books and do not have the search capabilities of Logos.
