Gatorade is a flavored non-carbonated sports drink.

Gatorade was developed by the University of Florida College of Medicine in response to the needs of the Florida Gators football team, which found itself losing drastic amounts of weight and running out of energy during games due to electrolyte loss. Now owned by Pepsi, Gatorade offers products designed to rehydrate and energize athletes before, during and after exercise. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. G Series Gatorade Products

    • Gatorade's G Series includes 01 Prime, a pre-game fuel combining electrolytes, B vitamins and carbohydrates that help the body sustain energy. In their "Perform" G Series, Gatorade offers original Gatorade with its combination of carbohydrates, potassium and sodium; G2 Low-Calorie Thirst Quencher, which is essentially original Gatorade at only 20 calories for every 8 oz.; G Powder, which offers the same nutrients as original Gatorade but in a powdered formula; and G2 Powder, which comes in individual foil-wrapped packs of only 20 calories each. Gatorade also sells Recover 03 Post-Game Protein Recovery, a drink designed to help replenish protein lost during exercise.

    G Series Pro Gatorade Products

    • Gatorade's G Series Pro offers all the drinks and powders available in their G Series, but with enhanced levels of nutrients aimed at meeting the needs of professional athletes.

    G Natural Gatorade Products

    • G Natural Gatorade products are similar to basic Gatorade drinks, but are made with all natural products including natural fruit flavors, natural sweeteners, and sea salt. They are only sold at Whole Foods Markets. G Natural Thirst Quencher is the "natural" version of original Gatorade, and G2 Natural Thirst Quencher is the "natural" version of Gatorade's G2 drink, providing the same electrolytes and fluids at 40 percent of the calorie count of original Gatorade.
