Bogen/Manfrotto 3205GN3 tripod legs are a versatile solution for cameras with attachments, such as lenses and scopes. Still camera and video heads can be bought separately, depending on the photographer’s needs.

  1. Height

    • Because this tripod has a low minimum height of 16.5 inches, it can be used for nature photography. The legs can be positioned at four angles. It is also designed to remain stable with the legs close together, making it useful in confined spaces. Three leg segments allow a maximum height of 58 inches for tall subjects. It measures 22.6 inches when compact.

    Weight

    • The tall compacted height, along with its 4.85 pounds weight, makes it less portable than other small tripods. It is designed to be sturdy in most terrain and weather conditions. Likewise, the retractable spiked feet offer stability on a variety of surfaces. To keep the tripod grounded, it is recommended that the total maximum weight of equipment is 11 pounds.

    Materials

    • The legs are made of aluminum, which has been anodized to protect them from deterioration. Green and black finish has been applied to the exterior for camouflage. The clipping leg locks and feet spikes are made from stainless steel to avoid rust.
To allow a firm hold, the legs are wrapped with padded grips. These also shield the operator’s hands from grabbing cold metal in chilly weather.
